The Wellness Warriors is a dragon boat paddling team for cancer survivors and caregivers in the Boston area (we train and race on the Charles River). After losing my wife of 49 years to cancer on December 27 2011 I find a great need to be with people. The loss has left me with a feeling of great loneliness. Each day is filled with memories of her. I have a hard time going on without her. The more I am alone in my grief the more I weep and pine for her. Having a group of people to share the same loss would be so helpful. I am sure the common bond would help everyone heal.
