Water and how to get it.

There are ways to obtain water when their is no ready supplies , in areas where is is hot by day and cold by night (like the deserts of the southern US ) you can dig a hole 36 in round and 18 in deep and put some sort of collecting tin at the bottom , take a tarp or plastic bag and make it cone shape and place over the hole(weight the outside edges down ) and now you have a solar still when the air becomes saturated , water condenses on the under side of tarp and drips in to your tin this will let you collect about a pint of water in a 24 hour period.
The other way to collect water is to tie a plastic bag around healthy vegetation (like the branch of a leafy tree )and let the leaves act like a pump ,evaporation from the leaves will produce condensation leaving you with drinkable water.
